On Sunday, Speech & Debate hosted the 50th Annual DA Parliamentary Debating Tournament. Over 130 students from sixteen schools participated. In the novice division, the DA novice team—Alice ’28, Casey, ’28, Arthur ’27, and Ted ’27—took second-place school, with Arthur and Ted taking second-place pair.
DA swept the advanced division, claiming second and first-place advanced pair, Billy ’25 & Avery ’25 and Edie ’25 & Myles ’25 respectively AND second and first-place speakers, Edie and Billy. DA was first-place school overall.
Special thanks to John ’26 and Nikita ’27 for competing on the Loomis Chaffee team as substitutes and to Lily ’25 for helping run the tournament.
And congratulations to our seniors—Avery, Billy, Edie, Lily, and Myles—for a wonderful, highly successful four years!
