Over the Long Winter Weekend, eleven students and two faculty trip leaders are traveling to Florida to explore the Everglades and the abundant stories to be found in such a deeply important ecosystem. Students will participate in various physical activities such as biking and hiking which will be paired with discussions and reflections throughout.
The students and faculty arrived at the Hampshire Mall in Hadley, Ma where they will be spending some time before heading to a hotel near the Bradly International airport. There they will spend the night before flying out tomorrow morning headed for Florida. Please continue to check the blog for updates from students on the ground over their long winter weekend trip.
We look forward to reading the groups upcoming blog posts on Deerfield’s Notes from the Field!
