On Sunday, Speech & Debate went to Choate for three rounds of parliamentary debating at the annual Choate Invitational. It was a big tournament: 16 schools and 136 debaters. Winning 10 debates (and losing only 2), DA’s debaters—Campbell ’29, Willa ’28, Rachel ’29, Max ’26, Chelsea ’27, Davis ’28, Nikita ’27, and John ’26—won the day, taking FIRST-place school overall.
In the advanced division, Chelsea and Max went 3-0 and were top-scoring pair.
In the novice division, Rachel and Willa were 3-0 and second-place pair.
Willa was first-place novice speaker!
