On Sunday, DA Speech & Debate traveled to Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols. BB&N’s annual tournament consists of two rounds each of parliamentary debating and impromptu speaking. In the novice division, Max ’26 and Chelsea ’27 took first-place pair in debating; Nikita ’27 took top novice speaker!
In the advanced division, reigning international parliamentary debating champion Edie ’25 won her event; Myles ’25 took second-place speaker overall; and Lily ’25 won the whole tournament, capturing the award for top advanced speaker!
Thanks to the combined efforts of our debaters—including Alice ’28 and Billy ’25—DA was first-place school.
And by winning the tournament, Lily qualified to join Avery ’25 on the US National Team at the World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship in Malaysia this spring!
