Coding for kids starts this Sunday!

Erin Hutchinson – September 29, 2019

Greetings from the Deerfield Academy App Development Club,

We are a student-run club whose mission is to “work with younger students in the local area to teach them about computer science and robotics. Deerfield Academy students, who are members of the DAADC, will engage in activities with students ranging from 3rd to 8th grade for one hour, once a week. We hope our curriculum will develop critical thinking skills and encourage interest in computer science through exposure at a young age.”

We are aiming to educate with diligence, and hope to expand our program. If you have any suggestions of schools/programs that may be interested in this program, please do not hesitate to tell us in the comments/suggestions box in the form below!

On the following Sundays, the Deerfield App Development Club (DAADC) is offering coding sessions in the Boyden Library basement, from 3-4 PM.

Here is the schedule for the fall term of the 2019-2020 school year:

Sept 29
Oct 6
Oct 13
Oct 27
Nov 3
Nov 10

If your child/children is/are planning to attend the session on any given Sunday, we would like to kindly ask you to complete this very brief RSVP form.
