Save the Children #1

Margaret Tydings – March 19, 2018

On day one at the Save the Children Advocacy Summit Sami Dulam ’21, Ally Kell ’20, Helen Lipsky ’20, Maggie Tydings ’20, Shreyas Sinha ’19, and Kishor Bharadwaj ’19 along with faculty leaders Megan Hayes-Goulding and David Thiel met in our nation’s capital to begin our work with Save the Children, a bipartisan group focused on children’s rights. The event kicked off with opening speeches from Save’s President and CEO, followed by workshops focused on how we as students can increase advocacy here on campus and ended with a ceremonial dinner to honour award winners. All in all, it was a great first day in D.C. and we are excited to continue learning as we prepare to lobby Congress on Tuesday.
