Power. It’s one of the first concepts we learn and, to some extent, innately understand. We are affected by it; we affect it; we challenge it; we want it.
Even within our small microcosms at boarding school, there is a spiderweb of power dynamics constantly at play, whether it be between students and the administration, students and faculty, or even within students.
The theme of The Tavern’s May issue will be “Power”. Submissions are open to the entire student body, so if you want to share your thoughts with the larger Massachusetts boarding school community. Ideas for articles could be privilege, administration, dorm parents, leadership, the government etc. Please submit your article idea on this topic to me at email@example.com by Sunday night, April 23rd. Once we confirm your idea, you will have one week to write your article.
