Deerfield Academy Theater presents its Spring 2016 production, “Words, Words, (and More) Words: A Festival of Comedic One-Acts,” directed by Katie Speed. The play opens on Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm in the Reid Black Box Theater. Additional shows are May 25, 26, 27 at 7pm and May 28 at 4pm. Tickets are available here.
An ensemble of actors will present seven short comedic plays as varied and hilarious as the students who perform them. Over the course of the evening, you’ll meet a therapist dealing with a materialistic client, a woman who has learned she has the power to damn people to hell, four people caught in the complicated and messy world of dating, three monkeys who are attempting to write Hamlet, and more. Featuring writing by Shel Silverstein, Wendy Wasserstein, Lynn Nottage, and other celebrated American playwrights, this evening of comedy will certainly keep you on your toes!
