Now that the sun is finally out and the weather is warming up, the temptation to go in the river is very strong. THE RIVER IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW. The water is flowing at twice the average rate for the spring because of the snow melt in the mountains west of Deerfield and the water temperature is still in the 30s. That water temperature means that hypothermia can take effect in just a couple of minutes leaving you unable to get out of the water. Please recognize the seriousness of the threat to your safety by going in the water.
