The shirts will be available for pickup after winter break at a walk-through meal or on MLK day. Round Square has partnered with the Community Service Board to raise money for the purchase of the $50,000 worth of meals we will be packing on MLK day. Those meals will be sent to typhoon victims in the Philippines. Although the storm is no longer in the headlines, people are still suffering and need our help. A former Deerfield teacher will be visiting the Academy during meeting the week after winter break to speak about the devastation in the country.
The shirts are green with white graphics. Because Round Square values not only service and internationalism, but also environmentalism, the t-shirts are all-organic. They will retail for $20 each and can be paid for using cash or greer cards upon pickup. Because we cannot justify over-ordering there will be VERY limited extras; so make sure to order one. Also, if you sign up for a shirt, your Deerfield account will be charged whether or not you pick it up, unless you contact a member of the Round Square Steering Committee (Henry Cobbs, Maddie Nelson, Nahla Achi, Tarek Deida, Robin Tu, Emily Ng, Jared Armes, Cole Horton, Alex Tananbaum, or Caroline Ashford) to cancel your order.
