New York Times Writer to Speak on Ethics in the Media

Financial journalist Sue Craig will lead a discussion on ethics in journalism and the implications behind the immense power of the media. Ms. Craig will speak on Monday, December 9 at 6:30pm in MSB Room 27.

“Susanne Craig has covered Wall Street for more than 15 years. Prior to joining The New York Times in 2010, she was a reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal. Over the years, she has covered many of the biggest stories on Wall Street, from tainted stock research to the fall of Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers. Ms. Craig has won several awards for her reporting and was the lead reporter in a team of Journal writers who were finalists for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for National Affairs Reporting for their coverage of the collapse of America’s financial system.”

Ms. Craig was also recently named Albany Bureau Chief and starting in January will begin covering Governor Cuomo and the capital for The New York Times.
