MLK Poetry Contest For Change

communications – January 2, 2013

Martin Luther King Day represents a day of reflection on diversity, acceptance, and the beginning of dreams. Leading up to MLK day, Albany Road will be hosting a poetry contest for all students and faculty. Depending upon the submissions, we will either publish a broadside with the winning poetry, or compile them into a chapbook and publish a special issue with the theme of “Poetry for Change.” The deadline for submissions will be on the 10th of January. Winners will then be announced on the next Tuesday, and invited to read at the coffee house that night.

If you have any questions, or would like to submit a piece, please email Stefani Kuo at
