There will be a reception this Thursday, April 14th from 6-9pm in the Charles P. Russell Gallery, to celebrate the opening of the Visual Arts Faculty Show featuring the work of Robert Moorhead and Tim Trelease. The show will run through May 31st.
Mr. Trelease’s work will include seven self-portraits from a span of twenty-five years, pieces from an on-going series inspired by fragments of Old Deerfield, and new abstract work inspired by abandoned spaces in New Orleans, NYC, and Detroit.
Mr. Moorhead’s work ranges from post-modern collage to deconstructed digital images. According to his Artist’s Statement, “In some works, words and calligraphy function both as a design device and as a means for adding yet more reference points. In all cases the intent is to mix layers of references and feeling with color, texture, and light.”
