Job Posting: Testing Coordinator

Deerfield Academy seeks to fill a part-time staff position, the Testing Coordinator, to start as soon as possible, in preparation for the 2020-2021 school year.

Reporting to the Manager of Student Information Systems, the Testing Coordinator will work approximately 300 hours per academic year and is primarily responsible for planning and administering standardized tests at the Academy.

 The primary responsibilities include: decides, organizes, plans, administers, and directs all standardized tests (SSAT, PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP exams (see additional role), TOEFL, and Oxford), including preparation and dissemination of printed and electronic communications, staffing and supervision of examinations; works with SSD Coordinator to properly incorporate students accommodations in the testing administration based on the SSD guidelines; works with Financial Aid Director on fee waivers and financial assistance; works with IT for exams requiring equipment use (i.e. language and music exams); assists with Digital Submissions for various AP exams; makes timely decisions to ensure smooth running administration while following the guidelines to ensure student’s scores are not affected and provides AP score reports after testing.

 

The following qualifications are required: Bachelor’s degree; 1-3 years’ professional experience; basic computer skills for reporting testing information to College Board or ACT; exceptional attention to detail; ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task; ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; willingness to work collaboratively as a member of the departmental team; ability to problem solve and make quick decisions; a valid Driver’s License; the ability to work up to 4 to 8 weekends during the school year and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
