Deerfield Academy seeks an experienced Manager of Student Information Systems to start on July 1, 2020.
Reporting to the Academic Dean, the Manager of Student Information Systems is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and auditing of academic student-related information systems, including the course catalog, the school calendar, student schedules, student grades & transcripts, data-dashboards and systems & processes that support the aforementioned responsibilities.
Responsibilities include: develop and manage the systems that allow students to construct appropriate courses of study (e.g., course catalog, course request & enrollment process, etc.); accurately maintain the school’s course catalog, curating the addition and removal of courses, construct student academic schedules and manage and process course changes in a timely fashion; perform internal audits of course materials to determine if they are compliant with Academy policy and practice; support and participate in developing data-systems and dashboards aggregating and displaying school-wide student information; ensure accurate maintenance and timely distribution of student academic records; distribute and process grades/comments, and alumni/ae transcripts and files each term and upon specific request; evaluate and catalog appropriate transfer credits for incoming students; cooperatively represent the Office of the Academic Dean on cross-functional or inter-office task forces and committees, guiding key policies and manage overall work performance, objectives and career development of Testing Coordinator and Testing Proctors.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative role and/or leading teams, including priority setting and responsibility of accomplishing objectives; excellent planning skills, and a capacity to pursue multiple tasks simultaneously; demonstrated proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new technologies; high level of patience and diplomacy; excellent organization, oral and written communication skills; ability to manage, and sensitivity to, highly confidential information; ability to work independently as well as part of a team; detail-oriented and a commitment to excellence and precise and accurate outcomes demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community; supervisory experience required
