The full-time Deerfield Academy Health Center Office Manager reports to the School Physician and ensures the smooth and professional operation of the Health Center, while supporting the Health Center’s mission.

Responsibilities include: Administrative support, direction and coordination for the Health Center, including internal and external correspondence, appointment/procedure/imaging scheduling, medical billing, maintaining office equipment, purchasing supplies and coordination and provision of student transportation to off-campus medical appointments; coordinating health center business, including staff time and attendance, billing, invoices, credit card reconciliations, etc.; supervising the Health Center Assistant and Medical Chaperones; collaborating on various health center projects with the allied health team.

The successful candidate will possess: a High School Diploma, or preferably an Associate’s Degree; 3 – 5 years of experience with administrative support systems preferably in a clinical setting; exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to work independently, efficiently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment; technical expertise including Microsoft Office suite, and a capacity for rapid acquisition of skills in the use of the Academy’s Electronic Health Record system; effective customer service in a patient based environment, including patience, compassion and cultural competency; a valid driver’s license and positive driving record; experience maintaining confidential information; and a willingness and flexibility to contribute to a variety of job duties.
