Reporting to the Director of the Annual Fund, the Administrative Assistant assists in the day-to-day management of substantial information flow to and from the Annual Giving team.
Responsibilities include: creating the Annual Giving production calendar, coordinating the Advancement Office calendar and working with staff to meet established deadlines; coordinating production of all appeal letters;
creating, managing and maintaining final data sets for ask amounts, appeals, class communications and broadcast emails; maintaining alumni class fundraising results and archive relevant datasets for future reference; serving as fundraising liaison to classes 51 years out from Deerfield and beyond and assisting with planning and follow-through for both on-campus and off-campus events involving Annual Giving.
Qualifications should include: completion of 12th grade, 1 -3 years advancement experience, or similar work-related industry preferred; excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail; proficiency with MS Office Suite, data entry, and integrated databases; demonstrated ability to work effectively with volunteers; ability to work independently and as part of a team; a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic; cultural competency and sensitivity to confidential matters.
