Deerfield Academy’s Facilities Department is seeking a Bus Driver to work part-time.
Reporting to the Manager of Grounds & Infrastructure Maintenance, and logistically coordinated by the Facilities Operations Coordinator; the Bus Driver safely transports students and employees utilizing Academy buses/vehicles.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Bus driver are to operate Academy buses and vehicles to safely transport students and employees; attend all Safety Program training; comply with all Academy Safety Program policies and procedures while performing job duties, both on and off Academy property; and attend professional development as needed to maintain current licensing and to learn new aspects of the trade.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma, 1-3 years’ experience driving buses preferred; valid MA Class B Driver’s with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements (or the willingness to be trained); ability to obtain DOT medical card; evening and weekend work is required. Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, and to serving the needs of a diverse community are required.
