Since the Board’s resolution, Assistant Head of School for Student Life Amie Creagh met with a group of students who formed an informal task force. Over the course of their meetings, they shared their ideas, insights, and, ultimately, their guidance. We are grateful for their input and wisdom! The links below are the result of their research. They are to sites primarily for girls and women, for whom a blazer/sportcoat will be a new requirement. The students on the task force sought a range of prices, styles, and fits for a variety of body types.

Together, we suggest that students and families take special care with their blazer and sportcoat purchases, understanding that exceptionally expensive items can sometimes (unintentionally) serve to exclude those who cannot afford them. Through funds set aside by the Board, and also through the generosity of current parents, a select group of students who currently receive financial aid will also receive a blazer/sportcoat stipend. If your student has been selected to receive this benefit, Ms. Persons, Director of Financial Aid, will contact your student by email prior to July 15.

Please note all blazers and sportcoats must have a lapel in order to meet expectations for Formal Dress.
