New Exhibition at the von Auersperg Art Gallery

“Cuba in Transition: Narrative & Perspective” is a traveling exhibition of photomosaic murals, interviews, and field recordings by Northampton-based artist Mark Guglielmo. Each mural measures five to 15 feet long and is handmade by taping together hundreds, sometimes thousands, of individual 4×6″ photographs. Neither a computer nor Photoshop are used. Set to a soundtrack of soulful Cuban music, it is the New York-born artist’s fifth exhibition of pieces from this series, which opened in June 2017 at APE Gallery in Northampton, MA, before traveling to Boston, Colorado, and the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA.

The exhibition is on display at Deerfield from January 13 to March 1, 2019.
