Fall Family Weekend Preview

As we look ahead to Fall Family Weekend this October 23rd-25th, we can anticipate our familiar favorites: attending our students’ classes, faculty one-on-one meetings, class receptions and the beauty of autumn in Deerfield.  There will be numerous athletic contests “at home” on Saturday; please check your student’s individual team schedule. In addition, families can look forward to our annual Fall Farmers Market. The Farmers Market hours will once again be 9:30am-12:30pm this year and will feature fresh produce, pumpkins, maple syrup, granola, organic coffee, artisanal bread and a variety other products from local vendors.

A Few Highlights:

  1. Margarita Curtis, Head of School, will welcome all  families and share her “state of the school” perspective with updates on academics, faculty and student life.
  2. Mark Spencer, Director of College Counseling and Peter Warsaw, Academic Dean, will present “Pathways to College.” All parents are welcome, and sophomore and junior parents are especially encouraged to attend.
  3. Individual college advising meetings for class of 2016 parents and students.
  4. Hess Center for the Arts performances on Friday evening. Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

Please stay tuned for guidance for families choosing to have their students return home with them after the weekend events have concluded.  Students must return to school by 7:30pm on Monday, October 26th.  See the full schedule for the weekend. We thank you for registering on this website. Please contact Deerfield Events at 413-774-1483, or email events@deerfield.edu if you need to make any  registration updates.
