Tricia has a BA in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Massachusetts, 1976, MLS from University of Hawaii, 1977, and MALS from Dartmouth College, 2010. She worked in the Asia Collection at the University of Hawaii as a reference and bibliographic assistant before coming to Deerfield. She manages the integrated online system and the proxy server for remote access to the library’s resources.
She is a member of the legislative committee of the American Association of School Librarians examining the Every Student Shall Succeed Act passed in December 2015 and the standards for school librarians. She is researching best practices of supporting students' academic and personal success in the library.
She is the Toin International Exchange Student contact who encourages students to study Japanese in Yokohama, Japan, during the summer. She has participated in the program as guest teacher and chaperone and learning Japanese through class instruction and homestay interaction.
Tricia lives in West Deerfield and is the clerk treasurer and prudential committee member of the Deerfield Area Fire Protection District, former chair of the Spiritual Life Commission at Holy Trinity Church, and a member of the Pastoral Commission and Outreach Commission.
