Jennifer Hammond

Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement

Jenny arrived at Deerfield Academy in 2010 with twenty years of experience as an educator, including teaching ESL and Middle School Social Studies. After earning her A.B. degree in East Asian Studies from Smith College, Jenny spent twelve years in Japan, which included a job at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) providing bi-directional interpretation and translating cell phone marketing materials. She currently lives in West Hatfield with her husband, Craig and two sons, Joshua ’15 and Thomas.

As the Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement, Jenny oversees Commencement, Reunions, 1797 Society events and other off-campus Academy Events. Additionally, she develops new initiatives and programs to engage more alumni, parents and friends. Jenny is also a liaison with the Deerfield Parents Network to assist with parent volunteer engagement.

In addition to her role in the Advancement Office, Jenny serves on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and is the faculty advisor to the Asian Students Alliance.
