Dave joined our Facilities Department as Environmental Management Coordinator in early 2011 after working for 20-plus years as an environmental consultant. Trained as a Civil Engineer (MIT, 1987) he has worked in surveying and wastewater systems design, water resources engineering, on Superfund sites, and advising clients on property cleanups and regulatory compliance programs. A favorite client from this former life is Hershey Foods--whose secrets of all kinds he must keep. He completed an MBA at UMass in 2007. In addition to regulatory compliance duties, he has played a large role in many of the recent sustainability initiatives here at Deerfield, including the Think 80|20 program, expanding composting across campus, crafting the Sustainability Action Plan, and leading water conservation efforts.
