Amy Lareau

College Advisor

Amy returned to her home state of Massachusetts to join the DA college advising team after five years in selective college admissions. Her years of experience interviewing, counseling applicants, and reviewing thousands of applications and essays provide unique insights to the college advising process. Amy graduated Cum Laude from Bates College, where she got her start in admissions representing her alma mater. At Bates, Amy studied anthropology and theater. She worked at Harvard for two summers teaching English as a second language and encouraging immigrant teens to pursue college through the Refugee Youth Enrichment Program. As Assistant Director of Admission at Colorado College, Amy recruited, interviewed, read applications from, and advocated for Deerfield applicants for 4 years; she was the Questbridge liaison and coordinator of multicultural visit programs.
Amy currently serves as advisor to yearbook and the LEEF (let's eat ethical foods) club.
