*Denotes Captains
  • Megan graduated from Bates College in 2003 with a degree in Biology.  While at Bates, Megan was a member of the swim team and served as a co-captain her junior and senior year, competed at NCAA DIII Championships, and earned All-NESCAC honors as well as Academic All-NESCAC and Academic All-American honors.  She graduated as a record holder in three individual events and earned the Senior Citation Award, the highest athletic honor given by Bates.

After Bates, Megan spent two years working at the Kimmel Cancer Research Center in Philadelphia where she contributed to the study of antigen processing and presentation, using the vaccinia virus as a model pathogen.  Later she spent six years at the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey where she taught biology, served as the assistant coach for swimming and cross-country, while also running a ninth-grade girls’ dorm.

Megan came to Deerfield in 2014 as a biology teacher and served for four years as the assistant coach of the Girls’ Varsity Swimming program before becoming the head coach.  She lives in New Dorm with her husband, Spencer, three young boys, Caden, Teague, and Ryan, and black lab, Gracie.

  • Jason has been Deerfield Academy’s diving coach since 2012. He has been diving competitively for over ten years.

Jason attended the Amherst Regional High School where he was a three-time All-American diver, holds the Amherst Regional High School diving record (355.00), holder of the WMass diving record (575.50) and, Massachusetts state diving record (622.05).

He most recently competed for the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he was the first diver in UMASS history to compete at the NCAA Division 1 Diving Championships. During his four years there he broke both Atlantic 10 diving records, scoring 636.85 in the one-meter and 680.75 in the three-meter at his first career Atlantic 10 Championships, holds the all-time record at UMASS in the three-meter with a score of 395.05 and ranks first all-time in the one-meter (334.50).

Outside of the pool Jason loves being outdoors, scuba diving, bowling, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Coach Evan was born and raised in Leverett, MA where he spent most of his early life playing with legos, studying Native American history, and playing basketball with friends. It wasn’t until he was 12 that he discovered his passion for competitive swimming with the Amherst Tritons Swim Team.

In his tenure as a swimmer, Evan swam on the East and West Coast – locally with the Tritons and Amherst High School, and with Team Santa Monica and the Santa Monica City College team. He earned JR College All-American status as part of several relays and also set some of his personal best times in the Master’s program that he swam in post-college.

As Evan’s career shifted from competitive swimming to coaching both high school and club, he also started his own private swim lessons business. In August 2018 Evan started ONE Aquatics; a coached owned swim club.  Evan prioritizes quality over quantity and encourages swimmers to believe in themselves  – while incorporating some of the important concepts he has learned from coaches, co-workers, and athletes he has met along the way.. Many athletes have experienced success under his leadership; including two Division 1 College swimmers, a JR national qualifier, and a New England record holder. Evan is a certified Level 3 ASCA coach.

Evan joined the Deerfield girls varsity swimming and diving coaching staff in the winter of 2019-2020.
