Water Polo Wins on the Road Over Hamden Hall

Deerfield water polo secured a strong 11-6 win over Hamden Hall in a well-rounded team performance on Wednesday. From the opening whistle, the Big Green came out with energy, outscoring Hamden Hall 4-2 in the first quarter and maintaining control throughout the game.

Offensively, Jazmine Wilson Bigornia ‘25 led the charge with five goals, finding the back of the net with precision. Anne Kelly ‘27 followed close behind with four goals of her own, providing key finishes that helped Deerfield build and maintain their lead. Tess Ho ‘27 and Gage Calhoun ‘27 each added a goal to round out the Big Green’s scoring efforts.

Defensively, goalie Cecelia Cramer ‘26 stood tall in net, recording 11 saves and keeping Hamden Hall at bay through four quarters. Despite their efforts, Hamden Hall couldn’t break through Deerfield’s solid defensive wall, supported by Cramer’s heads-up plays and quick reflexes in goal.

The Big Green held a steady lead in every quarter, never allowing Hamden Hall to close the gap. With this win, Deerfield builds momentum heading into the final season of the stretch. On Saturday, they’ll face Hopkins and Andover in their final regular season games.

Go Big Green!
