On Sunday, the New England Preparatory School Athletic Committee announced the post-season championship brackets – the Big Green boys and girls hockey teams both earned top seeds in their respective championship tournament brackets.
The girls varsity hockey team earned the #2 seed in the 2025 NEPSAC Girls Hockey Patsy Odden Large School Championship Bracket. In the opening quarterfinal match-up, the #2 Big Green will host #7 Milton Academy at the Class of 1993 Rink on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The opening puck drop is scheduled for 3:15pm.
The boys varsity hockey team earned the #1 seed overall and will host #8 Nobles & Greenough School in the quarterfinal action of the 2025 NEPSAC Boys Hockey Stuart/Corkery Elite Bracket Championship Tournament on Wednesday, March 5 at 5:30pm in the Class of 1993 Rink.
Both games will be available to watch on livestream.
Last Wednesday, the girls hockey team defeated Williston, 2-1 to extend their winning streak to three games then, fell to Loomis on the road on Saturday in overtime, 2-1. To date this season, the girls have posted an overall record of 18-6-1.
To close out the regular season, the boys hockey team defeated Westminster on the road 4-2 to extend their current winning streak to 13 games and extend their season record to 21-4-0.
