On Saturday, coming off back-to-back victories, the girls varsity lacrosse team traveled to Taft for their second road game of the week. The Big Green opened and battled in a tight back-and-forth game with the score level at 4-4 with the Rhinos as the game clock ticked down towards halftime.
As halftime approached, the game shifted in favor of the Big Green, as the Doors registered three unanswered goals within 60 seconds to pull ahead to a 7-4 lead entering halftime.
The Big Green carried this momentum into the second half with a collective full team effort. Many contributions to the team’s success were made by the defensive and offensive units.
In goal for the Big Green, Olivia Smit ’25 made some great saves along with several interceptions.
On the offensive end, Chase Collins ’25, Rose Manning ’26, Lily Woods ’26 and Isla Borgen ’26 combined for several goals and assists in the victory.
Saturday’s victory was a total team effort for the Big Green! The Green and White will carry and look to extend their current three-game winning streak into their fifth week of the season. The team returns to action this Wednesday at home vs. Williston. Opening draw is slated for 3pm.
