NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-America First and Second teams. The Connecticut College women's track and field team had two student-athletes honored.
In the 800 meters,
Alexa Estes (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished 14th in the country with a time of 2:13.27 to earn Second-Team All-American.
In the mile,
Abby Fernald (Avon, Conn.) finished 11th overall in the country with a time of 5:00.02
Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays at the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia, took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and ninth and tenth as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America.
