Boys Varsity Tennis improved to 6-1 overall on the season with a decisive 7-0 win on the road against NMH. Due to a scheduling conflict and needing to free up courts asap, singles was played first in this dual match. Senior Luka Kokosadze made his debut in the singles lineup at #4 and, battling through some early nerves, pulled out his match 10-4 in the third set super breaker. #6 Spencer Trees was also pushed to a super breaker, and he too came out on top. #2 Anthony Sparacio was forced into a first set tiebreaker; once he pulled through that, the second set went more smoothly for him. #1 Gunter Weldon, #3 Walker Naughton, and #5 Dima Kasumov all cruised to straight set victories.
With the match win already clinched, Deerfield took to the doubles court. Each duo played smart, strong, aggressive tennis. #1 Li/Weldon and #3 Sparacio/McMahon only lost one game apiece; #2 Feng/Naughton were tested more but came through with an 8-4 victory.
