Outlook: The top of Moriarty’s Big Green roster will feature a new look after graduating the undefeated pitching duo of Tripp Woytowicz (Richmond) and Connor Niemiec (Cornell), as well as .448-hitting team MVP Tate Bannish (Tufts), from a team that lost to Dexter Southfield in the CNEPBL title game. However, Adams returns following a breakout last season as the league’s top hitter for average at .475 and posting a 1.352 OPS, and Machnik is back behind the plate as a fourth-year varsity player who enters his second season as a team captain. With innings to fill, including 62 ⅔ from just the aforementioned duo alone, several newcomers are expected to make immediate impacts on the mound, including top Vermont native prospect Dorman (South Burlington), Easterbrook (Darien, Conn.) and Wahl-Cox.
