2026 NEPSAC Diving Champions: Gage Calhoun ’27 and Alex Chutkow ’26 Make History!

Over the weekend, the Big Green swimming and diving teams competed at the 2026 NEPSAC Division I Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Phillips Andover Academy. Big Green divers – Gage Calhoun ’27 and Alex Chutkow ’26 – made a big splash at the championship meet, capturing the top spot on the podium in both the girls and boys 1-meter diving events, respectively.

On the girls team, Gage Calhoun ’27 pulled ahead on the final dive to earn a combined score of 459.20 and capture the gold medal.

Fellow teammate on the boys team, Alex Chutkow ’26, posted a total score of 435.55 for the victory and top spot on the podium, as well.

This marks the first time in Deerfield program and NEPSAC/NEPSSA championship history that Big Green divers – Gage Calhoun and Alex Chutkow – earned the sweep with their first place finishes in the 1-meter diving events at the championship meet!

In addition, diving teammate Jewel Suh ’28 finished in 5th place in the championship meet with a score of 393.20 and earned 14 points toward the team total score.

In the boys diving championship event, fellow teammates Teddy Gonzalez earned 11th place and Rowan Muzzy finished in 13th place at the meet; earning six and three points respectively toward the team total.
