Deerfield varsity baseball improved their record to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in league play with a convincing 13-0 win over Cushing Academy. The offense pounded out 12 hits – led by Tim Harrick’s 3 hits (3rbi’s) and Will Machnik’s 3 hits (3 runs scored), along with 2 hits apiece from Barrett Adams (2 rbi’s) and Connor Mudd (2 runs). Tyler Easterbrook pitched 6 scoreless innings throwing only 61 pitches allowing two hits. Jack Wahl-Cox pitched the 7th striking out two. Deerfield’s defense did not commit an error.
