The Deerfield Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey team fell 2-1 to Lawrenceville in their second home game of the year. Lawrenceville scored first on a power play goal early in the 2nd period. The Big Green responded quickly, though, as Connor Mudd ’26 capitalized off of assists from Mike McGrath ’26 and Owen Andrews ’28. That would be the only goal Deerfield would muster, as Lawrenceville scored the deciding tally near the end of the 2nd period. Elliott Lennon ’26 was solid in net, stopping 21 of the 23 shots he faced. The Big Green have a shot at redemption this Wednesday. They’ll travel to Loomis Chaffee for a 5 p.m. game.
