Field Hockey (Girls): Varsity vs. Pomfret School (09/17/25 4:00 PM)

Event Details

Varsity field hockey continued their early season success with a decisive win over Pomfret on Wednesday, September 17 in Connecticut. The collective effort from both returners and new players to the program translated to many attacking opportunities, offensive penalty corners, and defensive stops.

The Doors opened the scoring with two goals in the first quarter. The first goal came from assistant captain, Chloe Cleaves ’26, who tipped the ball into the goal off of a penalty corner shot from fellow assistant captain, Lilly Oliver ’26. Reagan Deery ’28 capitalized on another opportunity in a first-period penalty corner after Pomfret’s initial defensive stop. Varsity newcomer, Taylor Wilburn ’27, led the Doors to a three-goal lead at halftime by redirecting a perimeter shot from Oliver. Cleaves tallied the final goal on a penalty corner with an assist from Vivian Monopoli ’26.

The Doors look ahead to another game on the road on Saturday, September 20 at Hotchkiss at 2:30pm.
