As humidity and temperatures in the high 70s descended over Avon, CT, the Deerfield harriers took to the line to race Avon Old Farms, Hotchkiss, and Berkshire. The Deerfield runners went out aggressively and secured competing e early positions before settling into solid racing packs that ultimately yielded team victory for the Doors. Many runners completed their first ever 5k in the Green and White, and all the boys impressed for their willingness to push themselves hard for the benefit of the team project. Looking ahead, the Deerfield harriers will travel to Concord, New Hampshire next Saturday to face the St. Paul’s Pelicans.
