It was a beautiful day on Jim Smith Field where the Doors hosted the Pelicans from Loomis. A great lacrosse game between two athletic squads. It was a back and forth affair that saw the teams trade goals for the majority of the first half. Stellar play from two-way midfielders Billy Weller ‘26 and Kellar Kelusky ‘27 who played wings on face-offs, defense, and each potted goals to pace the Big Green. Knotted at 5 at the half, things started to heat up in the 3rd quarter. Teams would again trade blows before Loomis began to pull away in the 4th quarter. Loomis possessed the ball for much of the 4th quarter, but Deerfield added one late to make it a 13-10 final. The Doors get back at it this weekend down at Andover.
