The Deerfield JV golf program faced off against Avon on a cold day on the quirky course at Farmington Woods. Deerfield learned their lesson on the importance of every shot after a 215-214 loss. Lukas Machan ‘26 led the Doors with a five-over 41. Cole Bannon ‘28’s 42 and Bright Yang ‘28 a seven-over 43 followed. Nick Smialowski ‘26 finished with a 44 after a difficult final hole, and Sophie Kamil ‘26 and Jack Keller carded nine-over 45s. The Doors look to bounce back against Taft and Salisbury on Saturday.
