Boys JV Hockey defeats Williston 4-1
On Saturday, playing at home, the boys J.V. hockey team faced-off against a much improved Williston team. Early in the first period the visitors took a 1-0 lead and were outplaying their hosts. The Deerfield team got off to a sluggish start and had to work hard to improve their on-ice performance before Williston could take any more advantage of the situation. Slowly the effort came, and we tied the game up before the first period ended.
The second period saw Deerfield score 2 more goals and take the 3-1 lead going into the final period of the game. In the third period Deerfield dominated and outshot their opponent, not allowing them back into the contest. An added goal made the final score 4-1. The team heads in to their final week of the season looking to finish on a high note with a good game against Westminster on Saturday
