Deerfield got some excellent matches today at a home quad meet with team scores not telling the whole story. Lots of thin squads gave up forfeits either way. A dozen JV matches saw a lot of good wrestling experience gained; congrats to Jack Zhunio for his first pin! In varsity matches, DP Pope took three very professional victories, one first-round tech fall and two *very* speedy pins. Special mention for Emmanuel Atiegha for the clear match of the night, taking a very gutsy decision win and showing the whole team what it means to wrestle with heart. Go Big Green!
