Hockey (Boys): Varsity vs. Salisbury School, Flood Marr Tournament (12/20/25 11:00 AM)

Event Details

Deerfield’s Boys’ Varsity Ice Hockey team tied Salisbury in their second game of the 60th Annual Flood-Marr Tournament. The Big Green got on the board first, as Billy Weller ’26 made a great cross ice pass in the neutral zone to Matteo Alvarez ’26. Alvarez carried the puck into the zone on a 3-on-2 rush, finding Owen Hannah ’29 on the backdoor to open the scoring. From there, Deerfield killed three penalties successfully, the third carrying into the 2nd period. After killing that penalty, Deerfield was assessed a too many men penalty as they came to full strength. Salisbury capitalized on their opening, evening the score on their fourth power play. The game remained tied from there out, despite great chances at both ends. Elliott Lennon ’26 was strong between the pipes. He’ll get the start tonight against Phillips Andover Academy. The winner of that game will play in the finals of this year’s Flood Marr Tournament tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Milton.
