The team showed great energy and teamwork from the start, with strong serving and consistent offensive pressure setting the tone. In the first set, Audrey Tjoeng ’29 was unstoppable at the service line, delivering an 8-point streak that Cushing couldn’t break. Clara Lipman ’27 led the offense with several kills, while Lily Johnson ’28 and Ava Cederholm ’27 contributed key digs on defense.
In the second set, Deerfield’s momentum only grew stronger as Audrey Tjoeng ’29 went on a 14-point serving run. Blake Coleman ’27 and Madison Stott ’28 powered through with kills, and Audrey also led defensively with strong digs. The third set featured a well-balanced effort, with Ava Cederholm ’27, Blake Coleman ’27, and Willow Tugume ’28 all recording aces, and Jessica Wu ’27 adding a block to help secure the final points.
