Soccer (Girls): Varsity vs. St. Paul’s (10/04/25 3:30 PM)

Event Details

On Saturday, the Big Green continued their three game road series in Concord, NH at St. Paul’s School for their family weekend. It was and unusual seasonably warm day with temperatures in the upper 80s with beautiful fall foliage in the back drop. The Doors controlled most of the possession in the first half but were not able to break through the Pelicans backline. The score remained 0-0 at halftime. To open the second half, the Big Green continued to control the ball and earned a free kick from 35 yards out. Magda Curylo ‘26 recognized that the Pelicans were not ready and took the free kick quickly, catching the home side off guard and putting the Big Green on the scoreboard.

With a couple of minutes the Big Green earned another free kick from a similar position and again Magda stepped to the ball and she played a ball to an unmarked Olivia Austen ‘27 who served a long range shot over the goalkeepers head to double the lead.

The Pelicans answered by scoring a goal of their own to cut the lead in half. Despite several more goal scoring opportunities created by the Big Green, the score remained 2-1 at the final whistle.

The Big Green will return home and will look to extend their winning record on Wednesday when they host neighboring NMH at 3:30pm.
