We lost 2-0 to Loomis on the heels of a disappointing loss over the weekend. Like Hotchkiss, Loomis defended us well and disrupted our attacks and then converted on two good chances. We had many more great looks at their goal and struggled to find the net. The pace and pressure of Loomis’ defense forced us to execute without much time to aim and fire. Rabi Diallo (29) had a header just go wide. Henry Markcrow (28) sent two nice shots just over the bar. John Rousou (28) hit the right post. Jack Webb (27) hit an excellent free kick bound for the upper left corner which the Loomis keeper fully dove to save. Our defense was stingy, as usual, with keeper Zach England (29) very solid and vocal. Some days, soccer games go this way despite sound team play. As the days grow a little chillier and darken earlier, we will press on. We coaches are supremely confident that this team will find the path forward together.
