The Deerfield varsity field hockey team notched their tenth win of the season over Westminster on Wednesday, October 15. Captain Peyton Wierl ’26 powered the Doors’ offense with three goals, her final shot finding the back of the net with just 2.2 seconds left in the game. This goal was assisted by varsity newcomer, Alex Kent ’27. Assistant captain Chloe Cleaves ’26 collected three points for the Doors with one goal and two assists. Remi Frankel ’28 and Sayer McIntosh ’29 helped extend the Doors’ lead with one goal each. Eloise Hochberg ’27 and Taylor Wilburn ’27 each had an assist. The strong Deerfield defense limited the Marlets to six shots on cage and five penalty corners. The Doors look to continue their success against Taft for their Family Weekend contest on Saturday, October 18 at 3:30pm.
