Riding high after their victory over the northern Pelicans of St. Paul’s, the Doors rolled south to Wallingford, CT to take on their southerly cousins, the Pelicans of Loomis Chaffee, along with the Boars of Choate Rosemary Hall. The Deerfield harriers attacked the course with reckless abandon and quickly surged to winning positions by the mile mark. Individual battles continued to play out up and down the roster, but at the tape it was all Green and White as the dynamic duo of Henry Winn ’27 and Liam Walker ’27 took down the Loomis front runner, while Leo Friedman ’26, Quinn Clark ’28, and Will Golding ’29 overtook the necessary rivals to secure the team wins over both Loomis and Choate. The JV squad continued their terrific season by defeating Choate in a competitive contest while they achieved a perfect score over the Loomis JV. Looking ahead to next weekend, the Doors will enjoy a sturdy practice under the adoring gaze of their parents and guardians at Fall Family Weekend.
