Deerfield Girls Hockey made the long trek to New Hampton on Friday night, and came away with a hard fought 2-1 win. Though New Hampton got on the board first, Chloe Cleaves ‘26 tied the score on a beautiful drive to goal (Allie Corrieri ‘25 with the assist). Cleaves then scored again on another great effort, taking a nice pass from Sophie Frost ‘26 and creating space for herself toward the goal (Ava Giroux ‘26 also earned an assist). Campbell Krotee ‘25, the hard hat recipient, had another great game in goal, and the whole team battled hard from start to finish. Many thanks to the Frost and Makrogiannis families for the food for the long bus ride home. It will be a quick turn around for the team as we take on Taft at home on Saturday.
