Deerfield Girls Hockey took on Exeter at home on Saturday afternoon, and came away with a 2-2 tie. We looked out of practice in the defensive zone during the first period, and Exeter was able to get on the board first. Julia Tamul ’25 tied the score in the second off of a great effort, stealing the puck on the backcheck, driving the zone, and firing a beautiful shot top corner. Though we had the better of the play this period, an extended shift in the defensive zone led to another Exeter goal. In the third, a great pass from Allie Corrieri ’25 sent Reagan Deery ’28 up ice, and she made no mistake in picking the back of the net to tie the game. Though we had lots of good chances down the stretch, including several posts, we couldn’t find the winner. Campbell Krotee ’25 was excellent in goal, and Sophie Frost ’26 earned the hard hat for stepping into a new position due to our mounting injuries. Next up is Choate on the road on Wednesday afternoon.
