Deerfield Girls Hockey took on Millbrook at home on Friday night, and dominated the pace and possession from start to finish. We opened the scoring in the second period on the power play, as Olivia Austen ’27 took a pass from Keira Austen ’26 (Sophie Frost ’26 earned the secondary assist) and fired a puck in. Then, Chloe Cleaves ’26 doubled our lead, finding a Reagan Deery ’28 rebound (Julia Tamul ’25 also got an assist) and finding the back of the net. To round out the period, we got a gritty goal from Erin Dunne ’28 in front of the net off of an Amelia Healey ’27 shot (Deery got an assist as well). In the third period, Cleaves went end-to-end with an impressive individual effort, and then Frost rounded out the scoring on the power play off of passes from K. Austen and Taylor Wilburn ’27. Izzy Kirby ’26 earned the shut out in goal, and Peyton Wierl ’26 was awarded the hard hat for her commitment to the team despite an injury.
